Once again this summer, from 28 July to 2 August, I will hold the summer guitar and guitar ensemble course in S. Caterina in Valfurva, near Bormio, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park.

 

An experience of musical growth and sharing in the midst of nature among young people and adults from different parts of Italy.

 

The day is structured as follows:

 

Morning: collective technique session to improve awareness in body-instrument contact and ensemble rehearsals

 

Afternoon: individual lessons and performances in front of peers, with whom to share reflections and expectations guided by the teacher

 

Plus: history lessons with concrete examples of ancient violin making and string technology offered by the lecturer. For those interested, a 19th century guitar workshop will be held, with the possibility of playing a mounted copy with gut strings.

 

Students are invited to attend the lessons of others in order to gain insights that nourish their own inspiration. The best students will participate in the final concert.

 

On the first evening of the course there will be an opening concert given by the teacher. The new album 'Papier-Mâché' will also be presented on this occasion.
